Per a commemorar el Dia Mundial dels Aiguamolls vam organitzar una jornada a la Facultat de Dret Uv Universitat de València titulada "Conservació dels Aiguamolls Costaners Valencians: Governan?a i Participació Ciutadana" el 7 de febrer. L'esdeveniment va estar obert al públic, incloent-hi l'alumnat de la facultat. ?? La jornada va comptar amb una presentació del projecte BlueGreen Governance, també una ponència sobre l'evolució de la Devesa de l'Albufera, seguida d'una taula rodona amb diversos experts en aiguamolls costaners, principalment de la societat civil. Durant la taula rodona, els experts van discutir els desafiaments actuals que enfronten aquests ecosistemes, com el canvi climàtic, la contaminació i el desenvolupament urbà. També van destacar la importància de la participació comunitària i la governan?a efectiva en els esfor?os de conservació. Gràcies a tots els que van participar i van contribuir a l'èxit d'aquest esdeveniment! ?? ____ ?? To commemorate World Wetlands Day, celebrated on February 2nd, we organized a conference at the Facultat de Dret Uv of the Universitat de València titled "Conservation of Valencian Coastal Wetlands: Governance and Citizen Participation" on February 7th. The event was open to the public, including faculty students. ?? The conference featured a presentation on the BlueGreen Governance project and a conference on the evolution of the Devesa de l'Albufera, followed by a round table with various experts on coastal wetlands, mainly from civil society. During the round table, the experts discussed these ecosystems' current challenges, such as climate change, pollution, and urban development. They also highlighted the importance of community involvement and effective governance in conservation efforts. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of this event! ??

?? El 21 de enero, parte del equipo coordinador de BlueGreen Governance asistimos a un taller organizado por el proyecto europeo RESTORE4Cs. Este taller reunió a un gran número de partes interesadas con el objetivo de discutir posibles acciones para restaurar la naturaleza del área del humedal #MarjaldelMoro y crear su #LivingLab. ?? Mi colega Joan Enguer y yo asistimos en representación del equipo del caso de estudio valenciano Universitat de València. Tuvimos la oportunidad de hacer una breve presentación sobre BlueGreen Governance a los asistentes y hablar con las partes interesadas sobre la importancia de los #humedales en la costa valenciana. ?? Además, tuvimos la ocasión de escuchar medidas interesantísimas de diversas asociaciones locales, administraciones interesadas y del proyecto #Soteria. ?? Es en reuniones como estas donde se reúnen actores relevantes y nacen #accionescolectivas para la #protección de áreas de vital importancia ecológica. Desde el equipo de BGG, agradecemos la oportunidad de asistir a este tipo de eventos. ___ ?? On January 21, the BlueGreen Governance part of the coordinating team attended a workshop organized by the European project RESTORE4Cs. This workshop brought together a large number of stakeholders with the aim of discussing possible actions to restore the nature of the #MarjaldelMoro wetland area and to create their #LivingLab. ?? My colleague Joan Enguer and I, attended on behalf of the Valencian coordinating team. We had the opportunity to make a short presentation about BGG to the attendees and talk to stakeholders about the importance of #wetlands on the Valencian coast. ?? Additionally, we had the chance to hear fascinating measures from various local and civil associations, interested administrations, and the #Soteria project. ?? It is meetings like these that help bring together relevant actors and allow collective actions to be born for the #protection of areas of vital #ecological importance. From the BGG team, we appreciate the opportunity to attend this type of events.

This conference, held on November 28, 2024, at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos in Oviedo, is a key event for analyzing the functioning of Horizon Europe and its major initiatives.
