With every project that comes through our doors, we welcome the opportunity to provide our clients with accurate and precise results in a timely manner. Recently, our team completed a deep dive asphalt analysis project on 70 cores from 14 test sections. In just 4 weeks, we were able to test the volumetric and performance properties of the asphalt. The report included core density, AC content, CT and Hamburg results, and a full binder grading for each test section.?

Today's training covered the most recent advancement in asphalt performance testing, friction. The DFT, 3-Wheel Polish Device, and Slab Compactor are three tools we use in our laboratory to design and control asphalt mixtures to produce safer roadways.? ? In recent years, performance testing in balanced mix design has boomed within the asphalt industry. At Bluegrass Testing Laboratory, we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of industry advancement. Today, we took time to educate and train all of our team members on the importance of performance testing, sample preparation, and the relevant specifications. The Ideal-CT and Hamburg Rut Test are just two of the many ways we can evaluate the performance of asphalt to continue making our roads?safer and longer lasting.
