Blue World continues to support our client in performing both routine and non-routine operation and maintenance (O&M) at the City of Phoenix Tal Wi Wi Potable Water Distribution System.?Typical O&M includes twice-weekly inspections, monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual system and equipment maintenance, monthly sample collection, and emergency response whenever required.?Our team completes the annual report detailing overall system operation and recommended system upgrades / improvements with projected Capex and Opex cost estimates included.?Our team works closely with the City of Phoenix personnel to ensure no gaps in water distribution to those who rely on the Tal Wi Wi system. #BlueWorldConstruction #OandM #operations #maintenance #water #waterdistribution #mechanical #watersampling #analysis #safety?

Blue World Construction continues to support the Air Force at Joint Base Andrews by inspecting the aircraft protective structures for deficiencies and providing reports budgeting for future repairs. While performing our recent inspection, we replaced loose and missing roof and flashing hardware, patched and sealed concrete openings in the pad, and improved the connections of the grounding wires to the structures. Blue World Construction is wrapping up a major project that began in mid-July. This undertaking is a testament to our team's dedication and expertise in managing complex infrastructure challenges. Over the course of this project, we installed 3,500 feet of 12-inch HDPE water main using horizontal directional drilling. This method was essential due to the area being densely packed with existing utilities, requiring meticulous planning and execution. Additionally, we installed 300 feet of ductile iron pipe for a road crossing at a busy intersection in Glendale. This involved not only technical skill but also extensive coordination, including a temporary road closure and comprehensive traffic control measures to ensure safety for both our team and the public. Throughout the project, we undertook several critical tasks. The pinnacle of our work was the tie-in to an active 12-inch water main. This complex operation demanded seamless collaboration among our team, the client, and the engineering team. The tie-in was executed flawlessly on the only available shutdown day: Labor Day Sunday. We want to take this opportunity to give a huge shoutout to our incredible AZ crew. The Blue World team is working on a two-year project at Gateway National Park (Sandy Hook) NJ.?Earlier this week the crew completed an elevated 650-square-foot concrete pour to cover previously decommissioned WWTP equipment (three clarifiers and two wet wells).?The new concrete pad required the use of a pump truck as the pad itself is approximately 8 feet above ground level on two sides and the concrete trucks could not access the pour from the other direction.?Following successful completion of the pour, the team had to get creative with reinstallation of the original handrail, kick plates, and stairs as the original rails and stairs were installed to fit around the previous equipment.?Our client wanted to reuse the original material, and our team obliged, re-working and fitting the rails and stairs and anchoring them to the new pad to provide the required access.?In the future, this new pad will become home to an array of solar panels. ? #BlueWorldConstruction #concrete #masonry #handrail #concretepour #reinforcement #safety

Last week, Blue World Construction attended a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Mineral Separation Plant at a Montana mining site. Blue World was a key team member, from the conceptual planning stages that started over 2 years ago,?to final facility commissioning last week.?Teamwork, collaboration,?and determination were necessary for every stage of this project.?This site utilizes existing processes in innovative ways, and we believe is the only one of its kind in the US. Our client’s team in Montana as well as from various parts of the globe should be extremely proud of their hard work in bringing this project from ‘cradle to grave.’?It is certainly a game-changer for their business. Blue World Construction recently began relining a brine water holding pond at an underground liquid storage facility in Matagorda County, Texas.?Our scope of work includes removing and disposing of the existing fiberglass liner and leak detection system, demolishing the pond’s concrete pump structures, regrading the pond floor and sloped sidewalls, placing new gravel in the leak detection system, and excavating and backfilling the anchor trenches to prepare for the installation of the new liner.?Our field team worked quickly and effectively to complete all required demolition in the expedited timeframe leading up to the Labor Day weekend shutdown.
