In mid-September, we welcomed Sandra who was recovering from a CVA (stroke) and needed significant support. When she first arrived at Thomas Rest Haven, she was only able to ambulate about 5 feet with assistance, and needed help for most daily tasks. Fast forward to today... and this incredible patient is now independent within the facility and is going home! ??? What made this possible? Her unwavering motivation and dedication to her recovery. She worked tirelessly with a smile on her face and a "can-do" attitude. No matter the exercise or task, she pushed herself further, always asking for more and staying focused on her goal of returning home. ???? We'll miss her bright energy and positive spirit, but we couldn’t be happier to see her go home stronger and healthier than ever before! ??
