Boys & Girls Clubs of America surveyed more than 140,000 youth about how they’re feeling. The newly released Youth Right Now data includes the #1 issue on the minds of young people today. BCBSA and Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies are proud to partner with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to help them support the millions of kids they serve.
We're proud to release our Youth Right Now data and elevate the voices of more than 140,000 young people. In 2024, we checked in on the state of teen and tween mental health, how young people perceive their academic and workforce futures, as well as the issues facing youth today. #YouthRightNow is the nation’s largest data set on youth, to our knowledge, and informs Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s approach to youth development at over 5,400 Boys & Girls Clubs. We believe there is no health without mental health. That’s why Florida Blue and the Florida Blue Foundation are working with community partners to connect people with the support they need to improve their mental health. This week President and CEO Pat Geraghty announced the Florida Blue Foundation is investing $2.4 million in grant funding this year to support mental well-being initiatives across the state. He made the announcement at Special Hearts Farm, one of seven organizations receiving a grant. The investment is part of our ongoing commitment to improve mental health in the communities we serve. Over the last five years, Florida Blue Foundation has invested $18.9 million in grants to support mental well-being initiatives.
