?? Meet the Blue Comply team (pt 2)! ?? Christopher Kumm has been another rockstar with us, and we're delighted that he's decided to join full-time as a Software & Web Developer! With worlds of experience in manufacturing (including nano-scale!) and full-stack development, he's the perfect fit for our team! Anyone involved in startups understands the "many hats" environment, and that's exactly what Chris is looking forward to in the new role: "I'm excited to officially join Blue Comply because this role is unlike anything I’ve done before. In traditional web development, you often pick a tech stack and follow established patterns—but here, every component of the system requires careful consideration. We’re building an end-to-end solution that spans IoT hardware, networking, cloud infrastructure, and data processing, which means off-the-shelf solutions often don’t exist. I love the challenge of developing custom solutions that bridge the physical and digital worlds, and I’m constantly learning as a result." A lifelong learner...how did we get so lucky? Here's what Chris had to say about his motivation to solve the challenge of methane mitigation: "At Blue Comply, I get to work on a system that enables real-time methane leak detection, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions—so there's a tangible impact to the work we do. I’m also someone who enjoys understanding how different technologies come together to form a complete system, from sensors in the field to cloud infrastructure. Plus, there’s something deeply satisfying about building a system that spans hardware, firmware, and cloud software, all working seamlessly together." He's not all work, though, and his newest hobby is yet another testament to why we're thrilled he's joining our journey. ??"Starting last year, I really got into fishing. ?? Meet the Blue Comply team (pt 1)!?? Blue Comply continues to grow, and we've recently added some pretty talented people to our mission. Please help us welcome to the team Noah H. as our new Electronics & Firmware Engineer! While Noah has been contributing to Blue Comply's growth for awhile already, we're thrilled that he is joining us full-time. Noah joins us from Bozeman, MT, where he continues his PhD work on power electronics and fast-charging protocols in Montana State University-Bozeman's Dept. of Electrical Engineering. When asked what excited him most about joining Blue Comply and what keeps him motivated, Noah shared: "I enjoy high precision embedded systems design and Blue Comply offers just that opportunity. I am very pleased with the start-up-esque mindset that Blue Comply has, where everyone is encouraged to contribute both in their areas of expertise and otherwise. I get to do both electrical hardware and firmware engineering, and it's very fulfilling to me to be able to design a circuit, write the software that goes into it, and then perform the long-term testing that results in a final product." Spoken like a true engineer! We also tried to ask Noah what he enjoys outside of the office, but his professional experience is so interesting that this was his response: "Last year I traveled to Argentina for work, where I was one of the lead electrical engineers on a project that examined the intersection of robotics and nature. Through my work with Hyundai America Tech Center and Rhode Island School of Design, I was part of a team that built, shipped, and tested a quadruped robot that eventually made a trip through the Andes Mounties in western Argentina.
