We’re thrilled to announce that our co-founder, Ansel Ponder, has been selected for the 2025 Community Investment Training cohort with the Rural Investment Collaborative, supported by the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond! ?? This training will equip Blue Appalachia with essential tools and knowledge to develop a viable investment proposal for sustainable community investment. In January, 25 small town and rural community leaders will begin the second cohort of the Community Investment Training (CIT) program, an opportunity offered through the Richmond Fed’s Rural Investment Collaborative. The Collaborative works to address a basic problem of supply and demand that is a barrier for many small towns to access the available capital needed to advance economic and community development efforts. In alignment with our public service mission to strengthen the economy and the communities across our region, the CIT program provides training and guidance to community leaders to assist them with developing viable, investment-ready community project proposals.
