Alaska Native Cultural Training & Consulting. GROW TOGETHER ALASKA
关于我们
Living and working in Alaska is different than anywhere else. We believe that understanding, appreciating and connecting with the state’s people and cultures is crucial for businesses to grow and thrive. Bloom Communications, a proudly Alaska Native, female-owned enterprise founded by Charlene Ostbloom, is a fusion of my decades of professional experience in communications and public relations, a deep personal connection with my Alaska Native culture, and a passion for fostering inclusivity. Our mission is to facilitate meaningful connections between Alaska businesses and Alaska Native communities and organizations. Through Alaska Native cultural training workshops and customized consulting services, we help our clients create mutually successful collaborations as well as a genuine appreciation of our state’s diverse cultural heritage. Drawing from both personal and professional experiences, we offer a guiding viewpoint on navigating Alaska Native culture with confidence and respect. My upbringing in rural Alaska, extensive travel across the state, and my career experience uniquely position me as a guide on this journey. Reach out if you’re curious about our Alaska Native cultural training or consulting services, or if you simply want to connect and share perspectives. We’d love to collaborate with you to bridge gaps, honor traditions and cultivate partnerships that thrive!

Sometimes, life doesn’t go the way we hoped. It’s okay to feel discouraged, but remember: setbacks aren’t the end of the story—they’re an opportunity to reflect, reset, and grow stronger. Here are 5 ways to help you navigate change with resilience and purpose. ? Take Time to Reflect Before moving forward, allow yourself to process what’s happened. Sitting with your emotions can help you find clarity and strength. ? Reconnect with Your Values Let your core values guide your next steps. They’re the foundation for your decisions and a compass when the path ahead feels unclear. ? Focus on What You Can Control Even when big changes feel overwhelming, there are always small actions you can take to create positive momentum. ? Lean on Your Community You don’t have to go it alone. Reach out to people who uplift and inspire you—there’s strength in connection. ? Embrace Resilience Resilience doesn’t mean avoiding challenges; it means rising to meet them. One step at a time, you can create a way forward. ?? What’s one small action you can take today to start moving forward? Let’s support each other in the comments. #Resilience #KeepMovingForward #OvercomingChallenges #GrowthJourney #BloomTogether

https://lnkd.in/gDgNMtpg President Biden’s decision to issue a formal apology for the devastating legacy of federal boarding schools is a powerful moment. These schools left lasting scars on many Native families, including my own. An apology can’t change what happened, but acknowledging the truth matters. What really counts now is following up with real action that helps survivors and supports Native communities going forward.

Carrying Their Strength with Me Every Day Fear didn’t stand a chance against the love and strength of these five women: Aunt Angela, Aunt Edith, Grandma Rita, my Mom Annie, and Aunt Josie. They were the role models closest to me growing up, and their influence has shaped who I am today. Through them, I learned what courage looks like in everyday moments—moving forward, even when fear is present. ?? In my latest article, I reflect on how we can embrace courage in our own careers using the ‘Courage to Bloom’ framework. Their example reminds me that every step forward counts. https://bit.ly/3YzfUpM #NativeWomenRISE #CourageToBloom #ResilienceInAction
