We are proud to share that our lobby re-opened this week! In collaboration with our design colleagues at Bloomberg, our facilities team created an engaging, modern, and welcoming space for our staff and visitors. "We worked with a local architectural design firm - Gensler, to achieve a modern design that could elevate the profile of our building and one that followed strong design trends that would wear well over time," said Senior Facilities & Operations Manager Bruno Giordano, MBA, about the project. In recognition of the contributions of Black artists, BLK hosted 'BLK Art Basel,' an exclusive showcase event highlighting figures of the past and present. The event featured contemporary art exhibitions from employees as well as a musical performance from Heru the Violinist. Selomé Welday presented a curated selection of photos originally exhibited at Art Basel, Shaneil Silvera showcased several paintings, and Princess Onyiri prepared a Black History Month cake sculpture. To highlight historical figures, several employees hosted booths where they cosplayed and told the life story of their chosen person, including: Robert Ginyard as Martin Luther King, Jr. Jasmin Copeland as Zora Neale Hurston Dana Dupree as Lieutenant Colonel Charity Adams Earley Antonio Thomas as James Baldwin Tumi Akinyombo as Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti Thank you to BLK co-chairs Kayla Christian, Denzel Currie, M.S.C., Robert Ginyard, Tiffany Joy Johnson, and Wilize Maleombho for curating this program and helping us celebrate the 99th Black History Month!

Our Sales & Services team took over The Anthem this week for our annual Sales and Service Kick-Off! This year's event was bigger and better than ever, under the theme—“Go Big. Go Bold." More than 300 team members got loud and ready for the year ahead with team-building activities, inspiring remarks from leadership, and a celebration of 2024's top performers featuring special performances from staff members and White Ford Bronco. We can't wait to see how we go big and put our vision into action this year!

At Bloomberg Industry Group, we recognize that mentorship plays a crucial role in cultivating the leaders of tomorrow. This week, BLK, our employee resource group in support of Black professionals, partnered with Spark the Journey to host interactive workshops on career exploration, navigating the job search process, and an engaging panel discussion with senior leadership team members. Spark the Journey is a non-profit organization that provides mentorship and support for young adults to chart their paths to success. ? Thank you to Spark the Journey for allowing us to engage with the leaders of tomorrow!

In 2024, we continued to serve our customers and support our community. We accelerated generative AI development throughout the year and introduced several new products across Bloomberg Law, Bloomberg Tax, and Bloomberg Government. More than 1,100 employees volunteered 4,100-plus hours through our BOB activities and Bloomberg Philanthropies contributed $185,000 to charities selected by INDG employees who participated in the Dollars For Your Hours program. In recognition of Veterans Appreciation and Military Families Month, SALUTE, our employee community in support of veterans, active duty, and military families, honored our nation’s heroes through programming centered around the theme “Back to Basics.” This month, SALUTE hosted a physical training challenge, a military branch expo, a visit to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Arlington National Cemetery, and a panel discussion on veteran hiring and retention. To close out the month, meet Product Enablement Team Lead, Jennifer R. McKinney! Since joining the team, Jen has been integral in finding ways to give back to the veteran community through her work with SALUTE. When asked who inspires her, Jen said, “My dad inspires me. A Vietnam Veteran, he spent two tours and came home to the abuse of the time. He didn’t talk much about his experience until the last few years, but it drove his work ethic, empathy, and compassion. He spent a career in journalism as a newspaperman covering some of the most impactful stories in our hometown, resulting in several awards for his stories.” Learn more about Jen and stay tuned for more features of leaders within our community!

Our Information Security Team recently held 'InfoSec Day 2024,' an annual event to educate our employees on the importance of cybersecurity. Over the course of the event, attendees learned more about cyber and information security through information sessions and interactive activities at tables representing each engineering department team. Veracode, an application security company, and AndeAI, a passion project that was built in-house and explores the intersection of AI and cybersecurity, also had tables. The event concluded with a panel discussion featuring Jeffrey Wheatman, SVP Security Role, Black Kite; Idan Plotnik, CEO of Apiiro; Jacob DePriest, CISO at 1Password; Jennifer Swann, Bloomberg Industry Group InfoSec Director; and Jason Rouse, Bloomberg CISO; served as the moderator. The Information Security Day event was a great way to let employees learn more about cybersecurity and the vital role that everyone plays in safeguarding sensitive company data.
