?How Do EDRs Contribute to Accident Reconstruction? In the world of accident reconstruction, Event Data Recorders (EDRs), often referred to as vehicle "black boxes," play a pivotal role. Understanding how EDRs aid in reconstructing accidents is key to appreciating their value in our investigations. What EDRs Capture: EDRs record critical data related to a vehicle's operation just before and during a crash. This includes speed, throttle position, brake usage, and airbag deployment times, providing a factual baseline that helps reconstruct the incident. Objective Insight: Unlike witness statements that can be subjective and vary, EDR data offers unbiased, concrete evidence that can validate or challenge other accounts of the crash. This data is crucial for creating an accurate and comprehensive picture of events. Legal and Insurance Relevance: The information captured by EDRs can be decisive in legal and insurance claims, helping to establish vehicle dynamics, corroborate testimonies, and clarify the sequence of events in the accident. This can be instrumental in resolving disputes and determining liability. EDRs are invaluable tools in our toolkit, offering precise data that help piece together the moments leading up to and during an accident. By leveraging this technology, we ensure our reconstructions are based on solid evidence, providing clarity and support to all parties involved. If you want to learn more about how EDRs can make a difference in accident analysis, contact Bloomberg Consulting at 850.932.7613 for expert insights into accident reconstruction. #AccidentReconstruction #VehicleSafety #EDR

I can’t state enough the importance of collecting this data as soon as possible. As soon as the accident occurs, no matter the severity, get the data! The EDR is a little electronic witness sitting inside that vehicle with a story to tell. Even if you don’t think you’ll need it, preserve that evidence!

  • As remote work becomes the norm for many, we turn to America's first remote workers for wisdom: Truck Drivers. The hard working people that deliver everything that Wal-Mart, Publix, Lowes, and every other retailer stocks that America needs every day.? Lance Platt, CEO of EpicVue, shares insights in a recent article on how the trucking industry—America's original remote workforce—can teach us valuable lessons on employee engagement in remote settings. Truck drivers have long mastered the art of working remotely, facing unique challenges such as isolation and the need for connectivity. With 62% of employees feeling that remote work boosts engagement, yet only 5% see themselves staying long-term with their current company, it's clear that engagement strategies need a revamp. The article highlights how leveraging technology, recognizing performance, and fostering social bonds can mitigate turnover risks and enhance productivity, especially in long-haul scenarios. Innovative solutions like in-cab entertainment and dedicated communication channels are just the start. True engagement stems from genuine care, continuous learning opportunities, and responsive feedback mechanisms. ????
