GTI Energy has secured another $2.28M in U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) funding to advance energy efficiency technology in decarbonizing the industrial sector. Together with partners Bloom Engineering Company and PRE-heat, Inc we are developing a high-temperature radiative exchanger with secondary emitters (RESE) that preheats combustion air using exhaust gases. This technology will cut costs, reduce emissions, and improve durability for high-temperature processes across industries. This award builds on GTI Energy’s existing efforts to leverage federal funding and strong collaboration to accelerate the development and deployment of industrial decarbonization technologies.? We're thrilled to announce that we have been named as a key project partner of GTI Energy on a 3-year U.S. Department of Energy Industrial Efficiency and Decarbonization Office (IEDO) contract to design and test a high-efficiency, ultra-low-emission, fuel-flexible burner which can be retrofitted into fossil fuel-fired industrial furnaces to allow them to use low- and zero-carbon fuels.? ? Bloom Engineering will be responsible for burner design, as well as fuel safety, control systems, and other deliverables for the project.
