Blomitec fosters soil biodiversity to naturally keep plants healthy, without a single drop of pesticide. We are very thrilled to discover that our work may also be supporting #publichealth in addition to strong yields!
Destroy #soil, and you will destroy yourself by hunger and disease. Soils are full of bacteria essential for crop production. But not all bacteria are good. Some are dangerous pathogens threatening public health. In this work led by Nanjing Agricultural University scientists, we demonstrate that when many different bacterial species live in soil, they automatically prevents the establishment of dangerous pathogens, including the dreaded #ESKAPE. But... diversity is destroyed by intensive agriculture such as #pesticides, leading to an explosion of dangerous diseases. The silver lining? Interventions restoring microbial biodiversity also automatically constrain pathogens. Sustainable agriculture and public health go hand in hand, one argument more to protect soils https://lnkd.in/emapHfjR PS: follow us at blomitec to discover how we design high-performance interventions to restore biodiversity for healthy plants... and healthy people!
