It is always a special experience to spend time with work colleagues and friends during in August in Martha's Vineyard. There were so many necessary and rich conversations and impromptu reunions with people from all corners of my professional journey. While I participated in many events, I was particularly honored to be part of Blk Grvty's Wealth Through Wellbeing Brunch. We had meaningful conversations about the connection between wealth and well being, with the major contributions from the audience who is expertise span, many different sectors. The conversation was on fire, and we could not stop the dialogue on everything from investing in inclusive innovation, supporting small business growth, and making sure we had the resources to fully participate in wealth building and financial literacy programs. Special thanks to our hosts, Raynya Simmons and Omar Simmons, and everyone who joined us.
I want to also give a shout out to The Gathering hosted by the Black Economic Alliance Foundation, where we continued to focus on economic empowerment within our community. Gov. Wes Moore, my old college friend from Hopkins and other folks I admire such as John W. Rogers, Jr., Melissa Bradley, Morgan DeBaun and Dr. Andre M. Perry. Also great to connect with JaNay Queen Nazaire, PhD and Chipo Sachirarwe of BLK Gravity as well as Patrice R Green, Daniel J. Barker, Kendra Brown and Rashida Bobb. Both events were truly inspiring, and I'm grateful to have shared these moments with such incredible leaders.
