It’s National Eye Wellness Month! Keeping your eyes healthy is crucial to maintaining your independence and quality of life. Here are some proactive eye health tips to help you take charge of your vision: Pay attention to symptoms: If you notice sudden changes in vision, like blurriness, flashes of light, or difficulty seeing in low light, seek medical advice immediately. Monitor your eye health: Track changes in your vision and bring them up at your annual exam. Commit to annual eye exams: Preventative care can help detect and address issues early. Consider non-visual skills training: Programs like BISM’s can help you maintain independence and confidence as your vision changes over time. #VisionCare #NationalEyeWellnessMonth #BlindAndLowVision #BISM #JobsForBlindPeople #EmploymentforBlindPeople Image Description: Dark blue background with a large white BISM compass logo in the upper left corner, and a second larger BISM compass logo going off the frame in the lower left corner. Grateful. Inspired. Invigorated. After completing the Dr. Nancy Grasmick Next Level Leadership Program, I’m walking away with not just new skills, but a refreshed perspective on what it truly means to lead. This experience challenged me to think differently, communicate with intention, and lean into collaboration in ways that will have a lasting impact on my leadership style. One of the biggest takeaways? Leadership isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about creating space for growth, listening with purpose, and empowering others to succeed. A huge thank you to my fellow participants, mentors, and everyone who made this journey so meaningful. I’m excited to take these insights and apply them to my work at BISM, helping to drive impact and innovation in new ways. To anyone considering investing in their leadership development—do it. Growth happens when we step outside our comfort zones, and this program was the perfect reminder of that. #Leadership #ProfessionalGrowth #NancyGrasmickleadership #LearningNeverStops
