Project Number 1 for the day… Restocking our schools' food pantries!?? Last year we applied for a grant with the Danos Foundation to restock our schools' food pantries and assist with the food insecurity issues in our community. Usually, we would restock our 9 schools in lower Lafourche (Golden Meadow to Larose), but this time we decided to expand into other parts of the parish (Lockport, Raceland, Bayou Blue, etc.). Today was part 1 of this project, and of course none of this would be possible without the below mentioned people. ?? 1. The The Danos Foundation for believing in and supporting Bless Your Heart Nonprofit enough to award us a $40,000 grant which has allowed us to address food insecurity issues in our Parish! 2. Community Bible Church - Cut Off for allowing us to use their building to facilitate this! 3. Galliano Fresh Market for supplying the groceries, and as always making this flow so effortlessly! Thanks Jaedon Burregi! 4. And last but not least, all of our amazing volunteers! Today was a great day, and we cannot wait to tackle part 2 of this project in April! Again, thank you for the continued support of our organization, we love y’all! ??

This project has been in process for a bit, but this weekend it finally came to reality! This would not have been possible without the donations of material and labor from our community partners. With their dedication, were able to refresh the outside basketball court at the Larose Regional Park and Civic Center. Huge thank you goes out to G.I.S., Jake Theiot and Jared Guidry at Mill Wright Machine Inc., and Lafourche Parish Fire District 3 for all of your work!

On February 5th, we participated in the SOUPer Bowl Cook Off at danos. Thanks to Bayou Rosa Oysters, we served Charbroiled Oyster Soup to the fine folks at Danos. Check the journey from the waters of Leeville to the bowls in Schreiver.

We were so excited to participate today in the Danos "SOUPER BOWL" Cook Off. This event was such an enjoyable experience, featuring numerous nonprofits and Danos employees. All dishes were exceptional, but are proud to have received both the Judge's Choice and People's Choice awards for our Charbroiled Oyster Soup made with fresh #Louisisana oysters from Bayou Rosa Oysters. We appreciate the sense of community and belonging that Danos fosters and thank you for hosting us. We look forward to returning next year.

We are thankful for the acknowledgment and generosity shown by the The Danos Foundation today, as they awarded grants to our organization and nine other nonprofits. Danos headquarters is a testament to the company's profound impact on our community, and we encourage everyone to visit and learn about its history.
