The Families in Transition program at the School District of Lancaster is dedicated to breaking down barriers for children facing homelessness or housing instability, helping them not only stay in school but thrive. Over the past year, they’ve served approximately 900 individuals. Their support extends beyond the classroom, providing essentials like hygiene products, cleaning supplies, bus passes, backpacks, school supplies, sneakers, and clothing. They also assist with school enrollment, offer referrals for food, shelter, and healthcare, and arrange transportation for families in need. They even team up with local organizations to deliver hot meals during the holidays, spreading hope and warmth to those in need. We are grateful for the tireless efforts of the Families in Transition program, who embody the spirit of community heroes, stepping in when others need it most. #blessingsofhope #SDoL #FamiliesInTransition #communityimpact
