Rainy, gloomy weather got you down? Don't worry, we're in a period of transition where sunshine is right around the corner. The flavors in this week's menu represent Beltane/May Day and the return of Spring, the blossoming and renewal of life. Delicate floral flavors, spring herbs, and rich savory flavors showcase the abundance of the season. Some of the ingredients include spring ephemerals from the area, such as wild ramps, which offer a unique flavor profile that can only be experienced in this part of the year. Some highlights this week include the ramp pesto croissant, which features the pungent, spicy flavor of garlic. If you're in the mood for something lighter, we've also prepared quiche with sweet potato crust and zucchini pizza boats featuring homemade cashew cheese and plant-based pepperoni. We invite you to come on down to the Blessed Fig Tree and partake in this annual experience. ?????? 800 Fifth Avenue, Antigo WI Tues-Fri, 10am-6pm

Hello Fig Community, Brandy here. Thank you for the well wishes, we are on the road to recovery together. I have heard your specific food requests and am very thankful for your ongoing support. The mind, body and spirit are all being focused on. ?? I have decided on a few changes to our menu. These changes will be a transition due travel times to pickup diverse ingredients and utilizing what we have on hand to reduce waste. I am very happy to announce various wholesome fare all made in house! By request there are gluten free products like wraps and tofu, cashew and plant based "cheese" products, woods to table forage, and the 1500 year tradition of Sattvic cuisine that is known as pure, essential, natural, vital, energy-containing, clean, conscious, true, honest, and wise. I am also phasing out wheat flour and replacing it with spelt, gluten free oat flour, teff, and other ancient grains. ?? These new ventures require new explorations. We are locating and researching exotic and quality ingredients, and we must scout out these sources first hand to verify quality. We are blessed as Chicago, Minneapolis and Madison have specific high end suppliers that offer products free of preservatives and artificial ingredients that we demand. There are reasons our prices are higher, we plan and travel every week for fresh ingredients. ?? There is an intellectual and spiritual wing of my research too... be on the lookout soon for my historical and ritual esoteric items we craft from western and cunning folk ancestry. In Summer I will offer some hand blended teas and herbal products from these traditions. Because production and research is so time consuming we will be phasing out one on one herbal consultations, we made sure our regular customers have alternative practitioners to continue a healing path. Now I can focus on creative explorations, and resurrect something amazing. ?? One esoteric facet of those traditions is house cleansings, something requested multiple times, as there seems to be echoes and feelings of cursed buildings and unhappy spirits in our community. These services include Celtic saining ( saging is similar) and traditionally unconventional charms and concoctions that focus on calming the supernatural. There are local gems and stone we are engraving with Greek and Latin phrases of power and runestones for warding. We based all this on historic accounts and a historic tradition, us cunning folk have a foot in the esoteric and a foot in the unknown, "damnant quod non intellegunt." Exorcisms are a bit much for us, so I would point you towards the Lutheran and Catholic communities locally who have a longstanding tradition of expertise on serious possession stuff. ?????? And finally classes, I plan to offer a few plant classes in summer, I know this has been very anticipated and requested. With much peace and gratitude. ?? ?? ?? Brandy
