Together with Blake's Beverage Co., we’re excited to announce our partnership with New Horizons Rehabilitation Services, Inc., a nationally recognized, accredited, not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping people with disabilities achieve their career goals through personalized employment programs across Southeastern MI. ?? This collaboration began in late September, and in October, we welcomed Jesus Reyes and his job coach, Patrick Belanger, to our team. Jesus joined our grounds crew, where his dedication to maintaining clean, welcoming spaces was evident in his work. His role focused on keeping our public areas pristine by removing litter, sweeping sidewalks, and maintaining the grounds' overall appearance. Through New Horizons’ support, we matched Jesus with a position that highlights his strengths and created meaningful employment. Looking ahead, we’re excited to deepen our partnership with New Horizons by hiring more individuals and expanding this initiative to multiple locations. We’re grateful to Jesus, Patrick, and New Horizons for making this collaboration a meaningful step toward a more inclusive workplace! ??

A harvest to remember! ??? This season, we reached an incredible milestone with 6 million pounds of apples harvested at Blake’s. It’s a testament to our team’s hard work, dedication, and the community’s unwavering support. Every apple picked, every cider sipped, and every memory made on the farm reminds us why we do what we do. Thank you to our hardworking team and to each of you for being part of our story this year. ????

?? New Beginnings in the Winter Season! ?? We’re thrilled to launch our brand-new Winter Evergreen Tree Field Trip Program, offering students a unique educational experience this season. ?? This hands-on initiative allows kids to explore the beauty of nature during the colder months, learn about evergreen trees, and discover the magic of our Christmas tree farm in wintertime. We can’t wait to welcome schools to Blake’s Orchard for this exciting new adventure! ??

?? Teamwork Makes the Fall Season Even Sweeter! ?? We’re so grateful to have partnered with several incredible local organizations this fall to help make our busiest weekends run smoothly—while giving back to their communities! ?? A huge thank you to the Romeo Dance Team, CrossLex Cheer, Dancer’s Only Studio, American Red Cross, Armada Middle & High School Cross Country teams, Rochester University Baseball, Austin Catholic High School Volleyball, Austin Catholic Boys Soccer, and University Detroit Mercy Softball for lending their time and energy at Blake's Orchard & Cider Mill. In exchange, we’re proud to make a charitable contribution to support each of these fantastic groups! It’s all about community, teamwork, and helping each other grow—and we’re honored to be part of that tradition. ?

This month, our wholesale team achieved something truly special—41,540 custom caramel apples were carefully packed and shipped in just one week to support the Henry Ford Health and Ascension joint venture. ?? What might seem like just another delivery was actually a labor of love, fueled by teamwork and dedication. Behind every apple was a commitment to something bigger—creating moments of joy, even in the busiest of times. In true Blake's fashion, our team rose to the occasion, working side by side to ensure each apple arrived on time. It’s moments like these that remind us of the heart and effort that go into everything we do. ????
