Not all stress is bad stress! Last week Dr. Jeffrey Robert led a class that focused on stress management using a variety of factors to expose students to random distractions that can happen during the work day. While it may have been fun, it certainly created an open discussion for handling stressors in the work place!

To start the week, Blackwood Department of Real Estate faculty member Jonathan Everett took a group of students to the Urban Land Institute (ULI) confernece in Las Vegas! These are a few sights from the students’ experiences while out West!

Another week, another Hokie alum speaking with our Careers in Real Estate course! Huge thanks to Andy Griesinger for making the trip from Charlotte, NC and speaking with the class about his journey and experiences!

Our students continue to impress with their internships and experiences. Leslie Orellana recently completed an internship with JBG SMITH last summer, and was involved in a variety of projects. Watch the full video to learn a bit more!

We kicked off the week by hosting our annual Fall Industry Advisory Board meeting in Tysons, VA. It was a pleasure to have such a talented group in one room and to welcome our new board members. We greatly appreciate the time and dedication our board members contribute to our department!
