Introducing Blackwing Vol. 11, our tribute to Bill Russell and his undeniable legacy. Russell is widely considered one of the greatest basketball players of all time. He was a dynamic champion on the court whose impact forever changed the game. Off the court, his presence was even more impactful as he endeavored to fight for equality and social justice, including standing with leaders like Martin Luther King, Jr. and Muhammad Ali. This special edition pencil set and notebook are numbered Vol. 11, representing Bill Russell’s 11 NBA Championships, the most of any player in history. The pencil design features a?#6?wrapped around the pencil honoring his iconic number, the only one that is retired league-wide.
