The inaugural HBCU Week NOW Student Film Festival, co-presented by Black Public Media and Maryland Public Television, is now accepting submissions. This festival will highlight the voices and creativity of HBCU students, premiering during Black History Month 2026. She’ll be joined by artist and educator LaJuné McMillian (@_lovelaja), who has taught at City College, NYU, and Princeton. LaJuné is an expert presenter, having won $50K at the 2023 PitchBlack Immersive Forum. Pitch Perfect, hosted by Black Public Media, goes from 12pm ET-1pm on Friday, Dec. 6th, at Center for Black Innovation in Overtown.
