Peirce Elementary School, The School District of Philadelphia project! One juror commented, "The efficient floor plan in this urban setting features playful interiors and exteriors with vibrant color and geometry. Flexible spaces and furniture, along with accent walls and flooring, enliven the environment. The project smartly utilizes a small urban site, creating a cohesive composition and a secure courtyard for student play. Despite limited direct access to the exterior due to massing, abundant daylight and views enhance all spaces." A century of historic charm meets modern design ?? Gulph Mills Golf Club's clubhouse renovation, designed by Blackney Hayes, blends traditional Quaker style with contemporary details. The existing member entry and bar were demolished, expanding its footprint and allowing for a new member entry to improve circulation. WE SERVE: This #MLKDayofService, Smedley Elementary, and Mann Elementary answered the call to action. At Smedley, community leaders, families, and volunteers collaborated with Project C.L.A.S.S.Y. and local artists from Anointed Studio, LLC to create 14 colorful murals. These murals, made possible by donations from Blick Art Materials, now adorn the school halls, embodying Dr. King's vision of community. ????Meanwhile, the community at Mann Elementary organized a clothing drive, gathering gently used items for local charities, including Cradles to Crayons Philadelphia. Welcome to the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU) Discovery Center, a student-centered educational facility focused on inspiring creativity and supporting the diverse needs of MCIU students. The Discovery Center hosts MCIU’s early childhood programming including Head Start, Pre-K Counts, and Early Intervention, and it offers career development opportunities for school-age students. BH is proud to have helped bring the Discovery Center to life! ????
