Guiding Vision and Values into Exceptional Design
关于我们
Blackney Hayes Architects (BHA) was founded in 1988 with a commitment to interactive design and exceptional service. We believe that every project should be approached from the client’s point of view. Our firm builds on a foundation of communication and teamwork, because a successful design is directly related to how well the architect understands and balances the requirements and constraints of the project. We listen carefully to the client’s needs and priorities, help to realistically define the project goals, and manage the design and construction process through which the client’s vision becomes reality. Ultimately, success of our designs is defined by three key elements: functional elegance, budgetary responsiveness and, most importantly, client satisfaction. With endless drive and contagious enthusiasm, we create architecture that endures the test of time and becomes a source of pride in the minds of our clients and ourselves.

In September of 2019, Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School opened the doors of its new home. Designed by Blackney Hayes Architects, the new 5-acre site included a renovation of the historic warehouse building, additions for school program spaces, new administrative offices, a gymnasium/health center, and outdoor gathering spaces. Only five years later, Cristo Rey celebrates its growth and impact in the Philadelphia community. The below article by educator and innovator, Sam Chaltain, honors the founding of the Cristo Rey Network, the intention behind creating a school in Philadelphia, and the importance of creating a space worthy of their students.
