First and foremost, it’s time for an honest conversation. I want to thank everyone that I sat down with this past year. Each and everyone that took the time to be real and authentic. Every person was told when they stepped up to the line that there would be no edits-what they said is what would be published. Not one person ever even flinched. For that I say thank you. Now, here’s what I want to know; I committed to doing this for a season and I’m curious if people found value in it. I’m curious if it lifted the view of the skilled trades. I would ask that you would like or comment on this post as I’m always evaluating where the investment brings the most value. The goal is to lift the view of the trades. This one was a first. We have a lot of those this year. I sat down between two highly skilled medical professionals, Patrick Rohal, MD, FAAFP of CovenantMD and Robert White, DMS, PA DFC-Direct Family Care We discussed some of the different types of healthcare that are out there, specifically direct primary care. They have a differentr way to look at caring for their patients. Both of these guys operate direct primary care practices and discuss the benefits of it and how we should be treating healthcare. They want to make sure that we don’t lose compassion in our culture and our society. If you run a small business, I would encourage you to check out this episode as it’s surprising what direct primary care can effectively offer for your people. We were invited by Turner Mining Group to make the trip to Kingman, Arizona to visit their new project and to see some of what they are doing. It was truly awesome. Last year around this time I met a man by the name of Aaron Witt . I wanted to thank him for what he had been doing to promote the trades and share with him how he had encouraged me to put my money where my mouth is. He proceeded to tell me about the Ariat Dirt World Summit and offer up an invitation to attend. I still remember saying to him I didn't think it was going to work. I mean, it was about dirt and l'm an electrician. But he continued to tell me that I should attend anyway because that was not necessarily what it was all about. The Dirt World Summit is about changing the way we think. It's about building better leaders it is about changing for the better. Now it's my turn. Let me invite YOU. If you're a plumber, an HVAC technician or contractor, if you're an electrician, if you're a welder, or anyone else working in the skilled trades. This is a place that you can be surrounded by people who are like-minded, who want to do better today than they did yesterday.
