Better In Our Backyard has just dropped another special episode of The Line in our Mining in America series. We sat down in Duluth, Minnesota with the city’s mayor. It was very interesting to have a real and honest conversation about how business pays the bills and builds communities. Personally, this is something that I’ve seen and experienced. Businesses are made up of people that want to affect the places that they live in positive ways. In this conversation, he shares real knowledge on Duluth, Minnesota, and what it is that we can contribute to our communities as businesses made up of men and women who live and work there. The full episode is available on Blackline LTD‘s YouTube channel.
Thank you to Mayor Reinert of Duluth for joining Better In Our Back Yard's Ryan Sistad and Joshua D. Mellott of Blackline LTD at BIOBY's 5th Annual Winter Dinner last January. We appreciate the insightful conversation on the positive impact responsible industry has on the region and cities like Duluth. "Duluth today is still a community that makes things. Whether it's a paper plant making finished products like toilet paper & tissues, whether it's a steel plant that's still producing steel, or Cirrus manufacturing airplanes. We make things and the stuff that comes together in those things has to come from somewhere, so why would we not want to responsibly do that in our region and then have the follow on effect in our community." Roger J Reinert - Mayor of Duluth, MN A special thank you to John Dukich and his team for helping set this up!
