Black Futures Lab is a vehicle for Black People and Black community-based organizations to build independent progressive
关于我们
The Black Futures Lab transforms Black communities into constituencies that wield independent, political power at the municipal, state, and federal level. The problems Black communities face are complex; the solutions to those problems require imagination, experimentation, and political power. The Black Futures Lab combines strategies that help us imagine the alternatives we deserve, while building political power at the local, state and national level to implement those alternatives.

Today, on Transgender Day of Remembrance, we honor the lives lost to anti-transgender violence and recommit to fighting for justice, safety, and dignity for transgender and gender non-conforming people. ??????? This day began as a vigil in 1999, started by Gwendolyn Ann Smith to honor Rita Hester, a Black trans woman. The ongoing violence against transgender people, especially Black trans women—who make up 52% of reported victims just this year—demands urgent action. We stand, affirm, support, and celebrate our transgender and gender non-conforming siblings everyday, especially today. ?? #TDOR #BlackFuturesLab #BlacktotheFutureActionFund #Translivesmatter #TDOR2024 #Blacktranslivesmatter

From equitable homeownership to eviction protections, the fight for affordable housing is central to building stronger, more just Black communities.
