We’re honored and privileged to be working with the Big East again this season on Black Fives educational and cultural initiatives. Thank you!

I was at the BIG EAST Conference Media Day last week in NYC as their guest with Black Fives and realized I have my own humble father/son story to tell that involves my oldest, Cassius Johnson. DKC Sports is the BIG EAST’s public relations agency and Cassius has been working with them for about 18 months as an account associate. Recently, he was assigned to the BIG EAST account. So when I showed up at Madison Square Garden to pick up my credentials at the media table, to my pleasant surprise the person who checked me in was Cassius. It was a very special and memorable full circle moment that made me proud beyond words. The event itself was once again an excellent production, and my understanding is it was the biggest turnout ever. From any angle and on any level, the BIG EAST remains the best (and dopest) conference in college basketball. I’m proud as well that we are partnering with them once again this season for more Black Fives educational and cultural initiatives at its member schools (Xavier University, University of Connecticut, DePaul University, St. John's University, Georgetown University, Seton Hall University, Creighton University, Butler University, Villanova University, Providence University, and Marquette University). Thank you BIG EAST, Val Ackerman, DKC Sports, Dave Donovan, Kenlyn Tyree, and Cassius!
