Blackbear Communications, LLC is an editing and ghostwriting firm that is mama-owned + operated. We specialize in crafting messaging for our partners through authenticity and ingenuity. Brooke Black has a degree in English Communications and has been the resident editor for Gladiator Consulting since 2018. Through blackbear communications, Brooke has supported multiple authors to get their manuscript publishable and connect with publishers. Brooke is a connector by nature, and finds joy in building relationships with authors, publishers, and venues to make the writing and publishing process organic, intentional, and fruitful. She is an enneagram 2– a helper– which perfectly equips her to support and partner with authors in their journey to get their words on paper– and then in the bookstore. Her passion for hospitality and celebration, which can be seen in her pursuit of hosting the world’s most chili cook offs and football sundays, allows her to get her event-planning “fix” by celebrating the author in a contract-closing book-signing event in partnership with the author. Founded by Brooke Black in 2022, blackbear communications exists to amplify the voices of authors by not only supporting them in crafting a publishable manuscript, but also in weaving intentional connections that will equip authors with the essential resources to publish and celebrate their work.
