“Our only hope today lies in our ability to recapture the revolutionary spirit and go out into a sometimes hostile world, declaring eternal opposition to poverty, racism and militarism.” On #MLKDay, Dr. King’s words about the triple evils still ring true. We hope you will join his call for global justice and for the United States to end investment into war and profits, and instead plan for peace.? ? Do you recognize the woman speaking to Dr. King in this pic? She’s Eslanda Goode Robeson, the Black woman radical, writer, and anthropologist who was also the wife and manager of Paul Robeson. She traveled extensively around the world in support of the decolonization of Africa and Asia while speaking out against racism, colonization, and imperialism. Want to know more? Check out what Black Women Radicals have written about her: https://lnkd.in/gS_jFNUs Image description Martin Luther King, Jr. (left) and Eslanda Goode Robeson (right) attending a gathering at the African Unity House, sponsored by the Afro-Asian West Indian Community, in London, England, on October 30, 1961.
