As it draws closer to winter break, the Black Student Athlete Association will be doing a last initiative through a?Christmas?toy?drive, in which we will collect unwrapped?toys/games at the remainder of the home games this semester! These?toys?will then be donated to the Chicago Child Advocacy Center, who?provide support to foster families as well as resources to kids that are in abusive situations or are in unsafe?living conditions. The deadline to bring in?toys?will be December 4th. Our goal is 50 toys! If you won't be in the Chicagoland area we also have a amazon wishlist. The deadline to order is November 30th! Our first event was a great success! A special thank you to Jason Mercer for taking the time to meet with us. His insights and experience were invaluable as he shared his journey into finance and gave us a behind-the-scenes look at his daily role at Cleveland Avenue.
