Black Consulting Initiative

Founded in 2020, The Black Consulting Initiative’s main mission has been to create a space on Brown University’s campus that introduces consulting to Black students, who are often underrepresented in consulting spaces. Since then, we have worked towards this goal through various programs, from collaborations with consulting groups such as Bain and Company and Mckinsley, to our annual Spring Consulting Projects, where students are tasked with providing consulting services to black-owned startups or individual ventures across New England. Our low-stakes, unique approach to equity and inclusion within consulting has given the black student body at Brown an inivitation to not only learn the nature of consulting work, but to hone their consulting skill sets to perfection as they work to achieve their professional goals.
