Our Manitex TC50155HL hasn’t stopped since we acquired it this spring. Yesterday we had a maintenance day and the team at Davinci Signs stopped by to get the vinyl on the boom and counterweight. Today it’s back at it offloading cable reels for an upcoming power project. #22aday

We recently did some work for one of our telecom clients not far from our shop. And by not far, we mean at the end of our street. We utilized our Link Belt ATC3210 with 92’ of jib giving working tip heights on this job of 300’ at a 2 degree angle and 270 degrees when offset. Also, Maine foliage doesn’t disappoint.

The leaves are changing and that means it’s time to get the boats out of the water, docks in and maybe throw on a long sleeve tshirt. Our AC200-1 and 35124C are busy this week with the City of Bangor, Maine Public Works crew pulling the docks on the waterfront. There are worse places to call your office. But there aren’t many that are better.

We’re set up and ready to roll for tomorrow’s Transportation Festival at the Cole Land Transportation Msm! If you’re in Bangor tomorrow, stop by from 11am-3pm and say hello!

Pizza! Pizza! A few months of planning and coordination ended with this beautiful Forno Piombo pizza oven being placed in a camp up on South Twin Lake. We received the oven at our shop and hauled it to the site. Josh, Ben and Grady rigged the oven and carefully maneuvered a slightly damp slope to get the oven to the side of the new addition and placed it inside. If you need a pizza oven, call Forno Piombo. If you need a pizza oven rigged I do place, call Black Bear Crane. And remember kids, the best pizza doesn’t have cheese on it(IYKYK) ?? Grady B.

This morning we had the opportunity to show some of the future construction workers how to operate a crane. In conjunction with Associated General Contractors of Maine and the Maine Construction Academy, Tony took our Manitex TC50155HL to Brewer High School to let students in the construction immersion program try their hand at running a crane. Their task was something that’s similar to the NCCCO practical exam with putting the ball into a barrel. It wasn’t as easy as it looked, but to be honest, the 2 girls in the group, were dialed in and were showing the others how it’s done. Hopefully the experience gives them a little insight into the careers in the crane and rigging industry, be it with us or another contractor. Regardless, the construction industry in Maine is on the right path to fixing the workforce problem thanks to the amazing team at AGC Maine. #buildamerica

We were hoping to save the reveal of our newest fleet addition until we got all of our logos on it. But todays job couldn’t wait. One of our mechanical partners had a couple rooftops to swap. We had 2 options, shut down State St in Bangor for 4-5 hours at night with our 210 ton or set up in a back alley with our Manitex TC50155HL we acquired from Empire Crane this spring. The furthest unit was 60’ in from the edge of the roof with a 90’ eave height, ot required the full 155’ of main and 39’ jib at a 30 degree offset. Shout out to our crew on the setup in a tight area to get the jib swung. If you need a ride, call Lyft. If you need a lift call us. #craneservice

We were assisting one of our great electrical partners on a job for the Bangor International Airport terminal expansion. The safety guy was doing what safety guys do so Chase did was he does best, chased him away. Do you know the story about Chase and his exploits at Bangor International Airport? A passenger mistakenly left this pup in the terminal and the amazing people at the airport are on a mission to help find Chase’s boarding pass(and little human) to get back home. Help us help Chase! Please share the posts and maybe we can do what us construction people do best, get the job done. #craneservice #pawpatrol
