I had no idea that, also thanks to Kimberly / KKH, BKW would one day be represented ON the tower with her. Monday was a fun day at the inaugural Sofinnova Investments / KKH Advisors Life Sciences Summit and the closing bell ceremony to celebrate KKH's six years in business, focus on diverse, under-represented founders, 100 companies brought out of stealth and strategic comms advisory on $5B in M&A deals. What fun to talk with Willem Hulsink and René Olie’s Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University “Learning from Silicon Valley” honors students at the Netherlands Consulate in San Francisco today. (I was never an honors student! but I did attend a fantastic exchange program at RSM in the 90s via the University of California, Davis - Graduate School of Management)

This is absolutely fantastic! I've been lucky enough to see a preview so I can vouch. If you're at The Beryl Institute event in Denver on April 4 then go go go to this. You will hear two incredibly thoughtful, smart, caring people talking about improving the experience of patients admitted to hospital. I think about this a lot. I spent I don't know how many days and nights with my dad in the hospital over his 11-year cancer "journey" (euphemism). Because he pushed hard to try different things, he had long admissions at several hospitals: Keck Medicine of USC, UC San Diego Health, and Scripps Health. Scripps Memorial is where he had his first first cancer surgery and where he finally died —?it was sort of home for him as he worked on campus there for many many years. I saw a lot of what was great about the hospital experience (nurses for one!! .. speaking of caring, smart, thoughtful people!) and some things large and small that could use some serious improvement. I'm very glad there are people working on this. And so glad I get to work with one of them via BKW Partners/BKW Health — Steve Peltzman.
