FIWARE at DSS25: Unlocking the Data Spaces Economy On March 11-12 in Warsaw, FIWARE took part in DSS25, the key event for Data Spaces, bringing together 800+ experts from 40+ countries to discuss the future of sovereign data sharing, interoperability, and AI-driven innovation. As one of the key consortium partners of Data Spaces Support Centre (DSSC), FIWARE together with its global community NEC Corporation, NTT DATA, Innovalia Association, BizzTech, GATE Institute, imec, NUNSYS, Open & Agile Smart Cities & Communities (OASC), MyData-TRUST - Data Protection & Privacy for Life Sciences, and NOSC-UA DIH actively contributed to shaping discussions, matchmaking, deep diving into the most discussed topics on data economy and its real impact. ??Our key takeaways from #DSS25: ? Welcome speech by Yasunori Mochizuki, (NEC, Chairman of FIWARE BoD) on “Share data, unlock value, boost impact.” ? Building the European single market for data – Clara Pezuela (COO, FIWARE) presented how DSSC is supporting the creation of sector-specific data spaces through a portfolio of guidance and services. ? Standardization & Interoperability – Alberto Abella, PhD (Data Modelling Expert, FIWARE) shared why common standards are key to international data spaces and how CEN & CENELEC play a role in harmonization. ? We heard insightful and visionary presentations on the future of Data Spaces in Europe and beyond, including the critical role of bridging Data Spaces and AI—because Data Spaces are essential for AI’s success. The message is clear: We are ready to unlock the Data Spaces Economy. ??
