What a weekend! ?? Big shoutout to the six young hustlers from Franklin Elementary who took the Chinatown Street Fest by storm in Oakland, CA. Sofia, Clare, Marilena, Alex, Ali, and Johan didn't just pitch and sell—they practically turned the festival into their personal business playground. Once again, I'm floored by the magic of entrepreneurship. It’s a ripple effect in action: ? Siblings and parents become unpaid interns (thanks, Mom and Dad!). ? The community gets roped in to support the kids (thanks Chamber of Commerce!). ? And the kids pick up real-world skills—like making change, running operations, solving problems, and presenting themselves to the public. But the best part? Entrepreneurship is like a self-confidence booster shot. Their tiny businesses are just the starting line. Start small, grow big! ???? Thank you to Val Chapman and her non-profit Financial Literacy For Kid$ for training these amazing kids all year, to Stephisha Ycoy-Walton for prepping them for the trial run at Tiger Tank and the Franklin Business Fair, and to the supportive Asian community including Carl Chan, Francis Lan, Alex Issvoran, Alice Wu, Indra Mungal, and Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao.
