The 3MF Consortium are looking for feedback on what metadata we should author in as default into 3MF files. https://lnkd.in/eJFPcZJh Fill out the very brief form to let us know what you would like to see the consortium of software developers including Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, PTC, Dassault Systèmes, Siemens, Autodesk, Altair. Materialise and Microsoft should enable in their applications. For those who do not know, 3MF can be used to communicate a part, assembly or entire 3D print build file, as well as extensions for materials, lattice beams, displacement, security and production. By adding additional metadata about the author, software, client, project, material, part number, ITAR restrictions etc. you (and ML) will be able to query, search, sort, use the data without referring to an external document such as excel, PDF, email, post it note, whatever.
