A big thank you to Tyler Blair and the Bit-Farms team for welcoming me up for a couple of days! They have an incredible product and I am so excited to partner with them to bring fresh produce and educational opportunities to schools in Michigan. Swipe left to fast forward two weeks ??. This picture shows the results even after harvesting four trays of microgreens and a dozen basil tops! Huge shoutout to Kentwood Public Schools for keeping their dining rooms at the perfect temperature, creating the ideal environment not only for fresh greens but also for cultivating meaningful connections between people and their food. ????????? #FreshGreens #SustainableFarming #FoodConnection #SmallFarmsEverywhere

Better food is happening!
The Kentwood Public Schools Child Nutrition Services team is excited to welcome Bit-Farms to campus. The team is engaging with students and introducing urban hydroponic farming to our schools. Soon, we will be harvesting pounds of fresh greens, including various lettuce varieties and fresh herbs, as well as microgreens for our high school students to enjoy at lunch. KPS will pilot 2 hydroponic farms in the district and hopes to add more, providing equitable opportunities for all students to learn and experience healthy and nutritious food options.
