Congratulations to our client for closing on the last day of the year. $1,450,000 on three different commercial properties. This definitely was not an easy one (they never are) between paying off the land contracts, underwriting, and all the other hurdles. We managed to navigate through the land mines. I’m super excited for our client for allowing us to provide a solution and yes he has more coming. At Birmingham Title Agency, we are incredibly lucky to work with a team that really operates as a family. Many companies try to attain this cultural environment, but we see it in-action every day. It starts with our founder Shamil E. Halabu who worked with a number of our current team at his prior title agency. Some have been with us since Day 1, and others are new to our office. But each person that works here is treated like a member of the family because we really don't know any other way. Working alongside Shamil are three of his children - Peter Halabu, Liz Halabu Casselman, and Christopher Halabu. From sharing meals at our conference tables to Christmas stockings with glitter-glued names on each office door to supporting each other through life, we couldn't feel any more thankful for the incredible team members we get to work with every day.

This is the highest certification in the title insurance industry and has been a big goal of mine since I joined a little over a year ago. Being involved with ALTA has not only helped me grow in my career, it's also allowed me to bring my title agencies and 1031 exchange company to a new, larger platform in which to engage in national issues that effect the real estate industry.
