This week, we're thrilled to introduce Erin Minor, one of our dedicated Counselor Assistants at Birmingham Recovery Center! ?Hometown: Tuscaloosa, AL ?How Erin Got into the Industry: "Although I have a lot of personal experience with people in recovery, I was in a completely different industry before this. I actually decided to enter this field on a recommendation from a friend who thought I’d be a good fit. I’m thankful for that, as it has been a great decision for me!" ?Favorite Part of the Job: "Interacting with clients and doing my best to ensure they have a positive recovery experience. It's hugely rewarding knowing that I can make a difference in someone’s path to recovery. I also love helping my coworkers throughout the day, and the occasional paper laminating!" ?Fun Fact: "I lived in Xiamen, China for a year to attend university and have a degree in Mandarin. 加油!" ?Hobbies: "I have so many hobbies! I love art (check out my art Instagram: @thelittleclaykitchen ), reading, traveling, photography, going to museums, and learning about history!" ?Book Recommendation: "I read 135 books last year and over 150 the year before that, so I have tons of recommendations. Currently, I am reading the Remembrance of Earth’s Past trilogy, so I would recommend The Three-Body Problem by Liu Cixin." ?Favorite Sober Celebrity: "I don’t follow many celebrities, but I’d have to say Daniel Radcliffe is my favorite sober celebrity. Outside of his Harry Potter legacy, he is genuinely such a cool guy!"
