Ministry Starts with a Call, Not a Campaign Serving as a pastor or spiritual leader in the local church begins with something far deeper than ambition or self-promotion—it starts with a genuine call from God. Those called to shepherd God's people aren't focused on winning a position, but rather on fulfilling the work already in front of them. If someone has to politic hard to earn a ministry role, it may be a sign they're missing the point. The leaders you truly want are already pouring themselves into serving, leading, and loving people right where they are. They're driven by a heart for ministry, not a hunger for a title. When seeking someone to lead a congregation, don't settle. Look for the ones whose actions speak louder than their words—the ones faithfully doing the work of God without expectation of recognition or promotion. A true calling is evident in the fruit of their ministry long before a formal role is ever given. Just a thought I had to share!
