A big thank you to Dunja Baston-Büst for sharing how Cryolocks are being used her lab and highlighting their versatility! "Cryolock is a versatile vitrification device consisting of a body and a cap both in a square shape. Both body and cap have gaps at their ends allowing easy grip with forceps. The cap will be fixed by rotation, that is quite simple due to the square design and the good visibility in liquid nitrogen. Due to the cap this device might be applied as a closed system according to regular guidelines. The different colors of the devices allow an easy way to identify different species or different patients according to the labs′ own identification system. Printer labels can be fixed easily. The concave and fixed tip enables an easy loading of the devices, e.g. the device can lay on a surface for loading without vibration. Depending on the size of the goblet, several Cryolocks can be stored in one goblet to reduce the space for storage." #cryolocks #cryostorage #ivfsuccess #closedsystem #vitrification
