Just a fabulous conference on Precision Medicine !
Leave home today, ---------- join a conference! See The 7 C's None of the below would have come to my notice had I not just attended the Precision Medicine World Conference https://pmwcintl.com . 1)After a 25 year wait from learning from Peter Roepstorff about the biological importance-imperative of understanding post translational modifications (PTM's), Assaf Kacen from Promise Bio showed powerful data backtracking performance of their platform working through publicly available data. First company that I have heard to commercialize the power of linking PTM's to drug target performance on a commercial scale. 2) I learned from Eswar I. at Aikium Inc. not only that a AI-driven trillion-protein screening?platform is possible, but that a technology I was working on toward including in a George Church lab technology platform, had been bought and absorbed into 10x Genomics portfolio (Eswar used to work at 10X) From Ben Hindson 's presentation, the Xenium Analyzer which integrates high-resolution imaging and onboard data analysis enabling the profiling of up to 5,000 genes in 472 mm2 of tissue in ≤ 6 days 3) A really fun extended chat with Matthias Troyer Microsoft Quantum I learned the notion of topological order (1989) and quantum order (2002), to describe a new class of matter states that underpins Quantum computing, was first envisaged by my close family friend Xiao-gang Wen at MIT https://lnkd.in/eampRzTe (imagine my surprise at this revelation Laks Pernenkil ? 4) Most fun moments-interesting learning moments in life can happen at fancy steak restaurants - thanks Phil Talamo Silas Inman MJH Life Sciences? William Oh Yale School of Medicine and Ed Kim City of Hope 5) While Jensen Huang NVIDIA talk was a sparkling cynosure, b/c of parallel tracks , I bounced between his and Julie Gerberding Foundation for the National Institutes of Health talk , hearing for the first time concepts on "Precision Public Health" and also the "Exposureome". 6) Again from Eswar (and related to the steak dinner on sharing knowledge through friendship) , after hearing about selfless mentoring of young scientists by Sam Perli Thinkhat , I learned about a novel business approach to mentoring and fostering startups from Phani Kukutla Ph.D. 7) Data Driven health is at a paradigm shift moment I heard directly from one of the industries true legends Lee Hood Institute for Systems Biology (ISB) & Phenome Health who is begining to build a new peptide information based pharmaceutical company - hear my interview with Lee here https://lnkd.in/diMuQBp7 I could go on and on - but want to join so many thousands of others to thank Tal Behar PMWC - Precision Medicine World Conference Gad Behar and Tomer Behar for letting me join and enjoy the PMWC experience, and to see the 7 C's. #pmwc2025 #ATMP
