I've been canvassing in Kenosha, Racine, and Milwaukee since June, mostly in areas that are predominantly black and Latino. In my experience, a majority of the undecideds are younger than 22 or older than 60. Another observation: when I do end up in purple or red districts, the Trump supporters are much angrier than they have been in the past, while support for Kamala is lukewarm across the board.

I did a deep dive into this project when the critiques were first emerging, and they were clearly distorted. Coming from European NGOs and authored by activists pretending to be researchers, they misrepresented the rationale for the project in order to discredit it for a court case attacking the buyers. Now we see the consequences.

Environmental offsets -- whether in climate, biodiversity, or water -- enjoy the overwhelming support of most environmental NGOs and most scientists working in the sector, but the same few outliers keep getting quoted. This is a replay of what happened with climate science as well. We can't let ideologues, outiers, and opportunists continue to dominate public discourse.

?????? ?????????????? ?????????????? ??????????! ??? I am thrilled to announce the release of Episode 99 of Bionic Planet, where I spoke with Bosco Juma, Lucian Adhiambo, and Susan Akinyi at the Big Ship Organization in Mombasa, Kenya. In this episode, we delved into the inspiring work being done to revive coastal mangrove forests and support local communities. Here are three key takeaways from this enlightening conversation: ??. ?????????????????? ???????????????????? ?????? ?????????????????? The team at Big Ship emphasized the importance of community engagement and awareness in conservation efforts. They highlighted the significance of continuously educating and persuading communities about the value of mangrove ecosystems. By creating awareness and involving the community in restoration activities, they have seen a positive shift in attitudes towards conservation. ??. ???????????????????? ?????????????????? ???????????????????? Despite facing challenges in accessing carbon finance, Big Ship has adopted a blend of old and innovative financing mechanisms to support their mangrove restoration projects. By leveraging partnerships with various organizations and focusing on sustainable income-generating activities like beekeeping and ecotourism, they have found alternative ways to fund their conservation efforts. ??. ?????????? ?????????????????????? ?????? ?????????? ?????????????????????? The organization places a strong emphasis on youth empowerment and skill development, recognizing the pivotal role that young people play in driving environmental conservation. Through programs like the Volunteership, Internship, and Mentorship Program, they are equipping the next generation with practical skills and knowledge to become advocates for climate resilience and biodiversity conservation. I encourage you to listen to the full episode to gain further insights into the incredible work being done by Big Ship in Mombasa. Let's continue to support and amplify initiatives that are making a positive impact on our planet. ???? The Case of the Tangled Titles: Unraveling the Legal Complexities of Land Ownership in the Amazon Listen in on this fascinating discussion I had with Olivier LeJune and Vini Maffei of Quantum Commodity Intelligence. They spent months digging into one of the most vexing elements of the climate challenge: namely, figuring out who controls which parts of the Amazon forest, the lungs of the planet.

I'm looking forward to some engaging dialogue over the next six months as we seek to bridge the disconnect between legitimate climate debates and public discourse. Think it can be done?
I just dropped Episode 97 of Bionic Planet, entitled "The Mosaic, the Minefield, and a Manifesto." It's the first in a new series called "The Tribes of the Climate Realm."
