Biomeme's platform transforms your smartphone into a mobile lab for advanced DNA diagnostics and real-time disease surveillance. The system includes a docking station for real-time PCR, a mobile app to control the system and analyze results, and targeted test kits for preparing samples and identifying pathogens or diseases by their specific DNA or RNA signatures. The cutting edge platform performs to the gold standard used by the world's most advanced central labs but requires no lab equipment or special experience to use. We're excited to share that the Biomeme Multiplex Project in Skin NTDs has been successfully initiated at Institut Pasteur in Abidjan, C?te d'Ivoire! This project is focused on developing multiplex molecular diagnostics for Skin Neglected Tropical Diseases, with a particular emphasis on evaluating Biomeme Leprosy qPCR Assays in Abidjan. Under the guidance of Prof Kakou Solange and in collaboration with a dedicated laboratory team, advanced molecular diagnostic techniques are being leveraged to strengthen laboratory-based confirmatory diagnosis of leprosy. The ultimate goal is to support the implementation of these diagnostics at the periphery of the health system in skin NTD endemic countries and promote case confirmation for timely and effective treatment. This initiative is a significant step forward in the commitment to combat neglected tropical diseases through innovation and collaboration. Our Joint Handheld Bio-Agent Identifier (JHBI) is a handheld biological identification system with integrated sample preparation. JHBI is used within the Joint Biological Tactical Detection System (JBTDS), which detects, collects, and identifies biological warfare agents at very low concentrations. Thanks to the JHBI, warfighters can get fast, lab-quality results about biowarfare agent detection, which allows them to quickly make life-saving decisions in the field. Our partners at Biomeme, Inc. manufacture the ID system behind these capabilities and then work with our Joint Project Manager for CBRN Sensors team to get this critical tech to the joint force.
