Pre-diagnostic plasma inflammatory proteins and risk of hepatocellular carcinoma in three population-based cohort studies from the United States and the United Kingdom I am delighted announce our latest study, conducted in collaboration with Dr. Xuehong Zhang, which has been published in the International Journal of Cancer. Our manuscript is our second manuscript focusing on the discovery and validation of pre-diagnostic plasma protein biomarkers for non-invasive early detection of hepatocellular caner. This study identified inflammatory proteins through Olink analysis with further verification of four proteins via immunoassays, and independent validation using Olink data from the UK Biobank. Our publication marks another significant step toward our goal of identifying and validating novel biomarkers that ultimately leading to the development of an accurate, non-invasive diagnostic test for early detection of hepatocellular cancer in high-risk populations. Biomarkers for Early Detection of Liver Cancer In our latest paper, we have applied SomaScan proteomics to identify and validate risk and early detection biomarkers for liver cancer in pre-diagnostic plasma from healthy individuals who later on were diagnosed with liver cancer. This is a first step in developing a non-invasive diagnostic for detection of liver cancer at an early stage that will provide opportunities for earlier intervention and better outcomes. I am delighted to share the news of our latest study, now published in the prestigious American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Our manuscript focuses on a critical aspect of endometriosis research, examining the plasma proteins linked to persistent post-surgical pelvic pain in adolescents and young adults affected by this condition using SomaScan proteomics analysis. Our publication represents a significant milestone in the field of gynecological research, and we are excited to contribute to the ongoing dialogue surrounding endometriosis and its management.
