This week is Florida Economic Development Week and the Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation, through its programs, co-working space, emerging technologies and other activities, assists entrepreneurs and their startups with scaling, thus creating quality jobs for South Florida. We are part of the economic development landscape in South Florida. For instance, we are currently looking for veteran entrepreneurs for our free Veterans Facilitated Growth Program, supported by Veterans Florida. This is for veteran entrepreneurs with businesses that are generating revenue and are poised to grow. Program Details: - Duration: April 7th to May 12th - Time: 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM - Location: Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation in Fort Lauderdale at the Nova Southeastern University campus. This program is held at no cost to eligible participants. An exciting new study by Vanda Pharmaceuticals, in collaboration with Hesperos researchers, was recently published in Molecular Therapy Nucleic Acids. The article explores the potential for ASO-based personalized treatment development leveraging Hesperos’ Human-on-a-Chip? technology. Our neuromuscular junction (NMJ) model played a key role in evaluating their antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) therapy designed for a patient with a rare variant of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 2S (CMT2S).
