Paul, PhD. , Alexander Yarawsky, PhD, Michael DeLion, Suki Hyman TPD is revolutionizing drug discovery by degrading disease-causing proteins instead of merely inhibiting them. A major challenge? Understanding ternary complex formation (TCF)—the key step where degraders bring a target protein and an E3 ubiquitin ligase together for destruction. This study highlights analytical ultracentrifugation (AUC) as a powerful, often overlooked method to analyze TCF. By leveraging SV-AUC & SE-AUC, researchers can measure stoichiometry, binding kinetics, and hydrodynamics, filling critical knowledge gaps. The result?
