The core components of Bio V1 – a Launchpad, Liquidity & Incentives Engine, and BioAgents (AI-powered scientific agents) – are all designed to streamline, simplify and gamify biotech funding and development. ? Users will be able to lock or stake BIO tokens to perform core functions on the network like vetting new BioDAOs or running BioAgents, with protocol fees recycled back into the ecosystem via liquidity or token burns to fuel growth. ? ValleyDAO’s Hempy project has uncovered new findings that enzyme treatments can effectively soften hemp and make it more more viable for premium fashion! ? Findings: The results demonstrate that enzyme treatments can break down lignin - a rigid structural polymer in raw hemp fibers - making them softer and more suitable for premium textiles. This enhances hemp’s potential as a sustainable alternative to traditional materials like cotton. ? Why it matters: The advancement addresses a key limitation of hemp (its stiffness), unlocking its viability for broader use in the fashion industry. By improving hemp’s texture while maintaining its eco-friendly profile—requiring less water, land, and energy—we can reduce reliance on resource-intensive fabrics. ? What’s next? In partnership with the Austrian Center of Industrial Biotechnology (ACIB), the Hempy team plans to refine these enzyme treatments, scale the process, and explore additional applications for modified hemp fibers. Further research will focus on optimizing cost-efficiency and expanding community governance through the $HEMPY IP-Token, driving the project toward market-ready products in sustainable fashion.
