These researchers developed a #ddPCR assay for detection of circulating tumor HPV DNA in plasma, with a focus on high-risk genotypes: https://lnkd.in/gPYq2eN6 Human papillomavirus (HPV) contributes to the incidence of several cancers, including oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC). Certain HPV genotypes are associated with a higher risk of cancer as well as insights into treatment response and prognosis. In this recent paper, researchers developed and validated a ddPCR assay for the detection of high-risk circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) from high-risk HPV genotypes in plasma. The sensitivity of ddPCR technology enabled the assessment of low-abundance biomarkers for OPSCC, supporting its use in future applications. Read the paper to learn more.
