What a fantastic article about the inspiring work and drive of Underwater Cinema inspiring Timorese youth to see and experience the underwater world with their own eyes and take action to protect and conserve our ocean. My cup is full! I just returned from the Oceania Positive Peace Activator training and really felt at home there. I’m an extrovert and draw energy from surrounding myself with people - but not just any people! I had the privilege of drawing energy and wisdom from 50 inspiring individuals from all walks of life who gathered to debate the positive peace framework and made individual action plans to take action towards positive change and peace throughout Oceania all the way from Indonesia to Wallis & Futuna and New Zealand. What’s more, for me it was a place where all the dots connected and new dots were created if they didn’t exist yet. Sometimes I feel that I am passionate about too many issues, causes and things. I’m an active member of (too) many different communities. I invest energy in (too) many causes. But in reality for me there is a crystal clear red thread connecting them all and it was during the last few days that I found a tribe who sees that thread, too. Positive peace is not just the absence of violence or the absence of fear of violence.
